Measuring the muzzle correctly...

For your muzzle to fit correctly, you should measure the circumference of the snout diagonally along the folds and the length of the nose from between the eyes to the tip of the nose. It is important to measure diagonally, where the muzzle will sit.
This works best with a tape measure. It should not be measured too loosely or too tightly.
