Type III Cord - also known as 550 Cord - has a diameter of 4mm and a breaking strength of approx. 249kg or 550 American pounds - the origin of the name '550' Cord.

Our Type III Cord is particularly tear-resistant and is ideal for bracelets, survival bracelets, dog collars, dog leashes, horse halters, bridles, lead ropes and much more.
Our Type III Cord does not rot, dries quickly, does not fade and is washable at approx. 30°C. If possible, use a gentle hand wash program for a longer lifespan. For better protection of your washing machine, it is best to put it in a pillowcase before washing. We recommend disinfectant rinse for better hygiene.
