The Type III Cord - also known as 550 cord - has a diameter of 4mm and a breaking load of approx. 249kg or 550 American pounds - the origin of the designation '550' cord.

Our Type III Cord is particularly tear-resistant and is ideal for bracelets, survival bracelets, dog collars, dog leashes, horse halters, bridles, leading reins, and much more.
Our Type III Cord does not rot, dries quickly, does not fade, and is washable at approx. 30°C. If possible, use a gentle hand wash program for a longer lifespan.
To protect your washing machine, it's best to place it in a pillowcase before washing.
We recommend disinfectant rinse for better hygiene.
