Material

Type III Parachute Cord (abbreviated as Paracord) - also known as 550 cord - has a diameter of 3.8mm/4mm (depending on selection) and a breaking strength of approx. 249kg or 550 American pounds - the origin of the name '550' cord.
It is made from 100% nylon or polyester (depending on selection) and consists of seven core and 32 sheath strands.
Type III cord is particularly tear-resistant and is excellent for bracelets, survival bracelets, dog collars, dog leashes, horse halters, bridles, lead ropes, and much more.
Type III cord does not rot, dries quickly, and does not fade.
