The carefully selected insect larvae are bred on special farms. The larvae feed primarily on plant by-products from food production, consume little water, and grow within a few days. The larvae are ground and shaped, then gently air-dried. That's all. SANADOG uses no additives, preservatives, insect meals, or other fillers.

Insect larvae contain high-quality protein, a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals such as copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, selenium, and zinc. They are therefore good nutrient providers, nourishing, and healthy. The "On Top" Apple Fillet is made from market-fresh apples using gentle air-drying.

The SANADOG Insect Chews with Apple are made with a splash of natural guar gum. This comes from the seeds of the Cyamopsis tree, native to India. Guar binds the ground larvae and apple, providing the soft and chewy consistency of the chew that dogs love so much.
