Type III cord - also known as 550 cord - has a diameter of 3.8mm and a breaking strength of approx. 249kg or 550 American pounds - the origin of the '550' cord designation.
Our Type III cord is particularly tear-resistant and is excellent for bracelets, survival bracelets, dog collars, dog leashes, horse halters, bridles, lead ropes and much more.
Our Type III cord does not rot, dries quickly, does not fade and is washable at approx. 30°C.
Despite its excellent quality, this product is not suitable for rappelling or personal safety.
