Type III Cord - also known as 550 Cord - has a diameter of 4mm and a breaking strength of approx. 249kg or 550 American pounds - the origin of the name '550' Cord.
It is made of 100% nylon and consists of seven core strands and 32 sheath strands.
Type III Cord is particularly tear-resistant and is ideal for bracelets, survival bracelets, dog collars, dog leashes, horse halters, bridles, lead ropes, and much more.
Type III Cord does not rot, dries quickly, does not fade, and is washable at approx. 30°C.
Despite its excellent quality, this product is not suitable for rappelling or personal safety.
