Type III Cord – also known as 550 Cord – has a diameter of 4mm and a breaking strength of approximately 249kg or 550 American pounds – the origin of the name '550' Cord.
It is made from 100% nylon and consists of seven core and 32 sheath threads.
Our Type III Cord is particularly tear-resistant and is excellent for bracelets, survival bracelets, dog collars, dog leashes, horse halters, bridles, lead ropes, and much more.
Our Type III Cord does not rot, dries quickly, does not fade, and is washable at approx. 30°C.
