Type III Cord - also known as 550 cord - has a diameter of 3.8mm and a breaking strength of approx. 249kg or 550 American pounds - the origin of the term '550' cord.
Our Type III Cord is particularly tear-resistant and is ideal for bracelets, survival bracelets, dog collars, dog leashes, horse halters, bridles, lead ropes and much more.
Our Type III Cord does not rot, dries quickly, does not fade and is washable at approx. 30°C.
