The braiding consists of Parachute Cord.
Type III cord - also known as 550 cord - has a diameter of 4mm and a breaking load of approx. 249kg or 550 US pounds - the origin of the name '550' cord. It is made from 100% nylon and consists of seven core and 32 sheath threads.
Our Type III cord does not rot, dries quickly, does not fade, and is washable at approx. 30°C.
