Type III Cord - also known as 550 cord - has a diameter of 4mm and a breaking strength of approx. 249kg or 550 American pounds - the origin of the term '550' cord. It is made of 100% nylon and consists of seven core and 32 sheath threads.
Our Type III Cord does not rot, dries quickly, does not fade, and is washable at approx. 30°C.
